I really love your quotes. I had never read the candle one before and I think that is absolutely beautiful. A true teacher is selfless and loving and the image of the candle consuming itself to light the way for others is very fitting. I also really liked your quote about teaching children in different ways. I am a big fan of Gardners Multiple Intelligence Theory and believe that we should all be teaching in a myriad of different ways to ensure that we stimulate a wide range of intelligences and personal learning styles.
I've never heard the "candle" quote before. Thank you for sharing that. I've written it down in my day planner to help remind me why I'm doing what I'm doing the way I'm doing it when my strength is waning.
